Q: How many clothing changes do I get?

As many outfits as you like! We encourage you to bring optional outfits if you desire.

Q:  What do I wear for a photo session?

Clothing choices for portrait session can be a touchy subject, we know! The goal of a portrait photographer is to make clothing "disappear" so the focus is on the eyes and face. With that in mind:

Avoid stripes, checks, and loud patterns. Holiday sweaters are fine for winter pics but otherwise try to avoid patterns. Black, white, mustard, orange, yellow should be avoided. Subtle color in makeup is good.

DO wear solids and very subtle patterns. Subtle in makeup is good. The best clothing colors for portraits are blues, teals/turquoises, and other shades in the blue and blue-green family (the most universally flattering family of all colors). Rich and deep greens, purples, and blue are all good. Gray is better than black though not ideal. Earthy and warm browns ok. Textured fabrics, like cable knit sweaters, etc., are excellent for fall and winter photo sessions.

Men should wear a collared, long sleeve shirt when possible.

White or off-white sweater might be fine for solo portraits, but bring extra outfits tops, shirts, or jackets to be safe.

FOR COUPLE PORTRAITS AND GROUP SESSIONS

Choose one to three colors for your portrait, colors with similar tones that go nicely together. Then have everyone work within that color palette. For example, a group could wear dark green, navy, and burgundy, which are all dark jewel tones. Or a group could wear tan, a lighter olive-green, and denim, all of which are lighter, softer tones.

Normally, sleeves should be close to elbow length or greater and men should wear long pants, normally.

Q: How do you deliver my photos? Do you offer print packages?

We will deliver your images to you via a private viewing gallery or dropbox. We don’t offer print packages, but we do recommend Mpix and Nations Photo Lab.
